Ban Fireworks in Pollokshields
Glasgow City Council must make Pollokshields on Glasgow's southside a Firework Control Zone before 5 November 2022. Residents need informed that they are a No Firework Zone and what to do should fireworks be set off in the area. And Police Scotland need to reassure residents that they will fully enforce the No Firework Zone
Why is this important?
Pollokshields has - with other communities - led the campaign for Firework's to be properly regulated. We have successfully campaigned for a Firework Act. We now need to ensure the new law is used and Pollokshields becomes a firework free zone
