Havering International Workers Memorial Day

 

Dear Friend 

I would like to invite you to join us on International Workers Memorial Day. This day of remembrance will take place on Monday 28th April 2025 at 10.00am.  

International Workers’ Memorial Day is an annual day of remembrance dedicated to workers who have died because of their work, whether through accident or disease. 

We will meet at the  memorial opposite Rainham Library . This memorial was initiated by Barking, Dagenham and Havering Trades Union Council, and was brought to fruition in partnership with The London Borough of Havering.

We ask you to lay wreaths or flowers at the memorial, to be laid after the two minutes silence to remember those who have died. 

Refreshments will be provided at Rainham Library.  We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
