Merseyside International Workers Memorial Day

Every year more people are killed at work than in wars. Most don't die of mystery ailments, or in tragic "accidents". They die because an employer decided their safety just wasn't that important a priority. International Workers Memorial Day 28 April commemorates those workers.

Here's the details of our event: 11.00am (gathering at 10.30am) at East Plaza, George's Dock Building, Pier Head L3 1DD. One minutes silence, wreath laying with pipers lament. Bring your banners! Meeting at 12.00 noon at the Racquet Club Hotel, Chapel Street L3 9AG with a buffet and 3 speakers on "Organising Workers around Health & Safety."
