Resist the cuts to arts funding in Northern Ireland
Rally to resist the proposed cuts to arts funding in Northern Ireland!
When? 2pm on Tuesday 25 April
Where? The Black Box Theatre, 18 Hill St, BT1 2LA, Belfast OR via zoom
Arts and culture jobs in Northern Ireland are at risk. The Department for Communities is proposing a £1.3 million cut to arts funding across Northern Ireland. This has already put performances and community projects in jeopardy.
What’s more, the Department for Communities is doing this without democratic scrutiny from Stormont. This is unacceptable, and it needs to be resisted.
We need you to join us at our hybrid rally on Tuesday 25 April at the Black Box in Belfast to highlight the impact of these cuts on our communities and be a part of making change happen.
During a cost of living crisis we need more investment in the arts, not less.
This is a public rally. It will be recorded and images and video from it will be used for Equity's press and social media.
