Call for the immediate release of SEIU president David Huerta!
As British trade unionists, we are horrified to learn of the arrest of David Huerta, president of SEIU California, by LA police forces alongside ICE and the DEA. He was arrested (and reportedly pepper sprayed) for peacefully observing unconstitutional detentions.
This marks an alarming descent by the US into fascism with the targeting of union leaders as a drastic turning point.
We stand in solidarity with David Huerta and all American trade unionists resisting draconian attacks. We call for Mr. Huerta's immediate release and for no further victimisation of American trade unionists.

Why is this important?
The arrest of David Huerta is a violent attack on workers rights and communities in the USA. We stand in solidarity with our union colleagues and comrades across the Atlantic. The US must not be allowed to continue its rapid descent into fascism - where they go, we all risk going.
