Reform-controlled Doncaster Council has moved to reverse £57 million airport loan to re-open Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
Unions are coming together for a rally outside the Airport to demand the council honours its promose and commits to reopening the airport!

Independent and council-backed assessments have shown that reopening Doncaster
Sheffield Airport would:
- support more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs across aviation, logistics,
- manufacturing and local supply chains
- unlock up to £2 billion in long-term economic growth for South Yorkshire.
The council has already spent £16 million towards the reopening. If the reopening is abandoned, much of that £16 million will be unrecoverable, leaving local taxpayers out of pocket with nothing to show for it.
Doncaster Sheffield Airport meant so much to so many supporting businesses, connecting people, and providing vital employment. We cannot afford to let that be forgotten.
