Are we nearly there yet? The final decision on public control!

After 4 years, an election, a business case, a legal audit, a giant consultation, and 12,000 of you taking action — the region's Mayor is now in the legal and political position to make an official decision to bring buses into public control.

Mayor Tracy Brabin will make this decision with the five local council leaders at the 11am meeting of the Mayoral Authority on 14 March.

An indication of the likley result and time of its announcement will come out on Thursday 7 March when the meeting's agenda will be released.

You should be there to celebrate your victory (touch wood) and to show the press, politicians, and public that this wouldn't have happened without YOUR community campaigning. Together, we win for our people.

On the day, the run will probably be:
- gather as the meeting starts at 11;
- send in representatives to hear the decision;
- those outside hear speeches about the campaign, why it matters, and what the next steps are;
- our delegates emerge with the good news;
- we end with a photo opportunity to show the press this was your victory;
- for anyone who can hang around at a local cafe there may be a photo opportunity with the Mayor later in the afternoon.
