Better Buses Tour to No. 10 North: End Bus Privatisation for Good!

Join better buses campaigners from across the North as we travel to No. 10 North in Manchester on the 40th anniversary of bus deregulation - to call on the Prime Minister to “finish the job” and abolish the free market in bus services, by repealing the 1985 Transport Act.
We're going to deliver a letter to Andy Burnham coordinated by the National Coalition of Better Buses Campaigns, a grassroots network of local passenger groups, who are marking the 40th anniversary of Margaret Thatcher’s “infamous policy of bus deregulation” which came into force on 26 October 1986.
Join us at any point on our Better Buses Tour to help us deliver our letter to No. 10 North (times and locations below)
The letter (read it here) calls on Andy Burnham to take “the next logical step” from public control and move the nation’s bus services into public ownership.
Better Buses delegations will be leaving from the following places at the following times:
Leeds Bus Station: 08.31am - Bus no. 229 to Huddersfield
** West Yorkshire Delegations to meet at Huddersfield Bus Station 10am for photo & demo**
