Rally outside Newham Council: Save Applecart Arts!

*TIME CHANGE!* The Council have moved their Cabinet meeting to the earlier time of 9.30am. So we're meeting at 9am to make sure our voices are heard*

Join us outside the Council Cabinet meeting at 9am on Tuesday 3 December to demand that Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz steps in to save Applecart Arts from closing before Christmas!

We are asking for the Council to save Applecart Arts by:
  1.  Allocating £100,000 from the unrestricted 2025 reserves to keep Applecart Arts afloat, and demand the new government restore the funding.
  2. Negotiating with Applecart over longer-term subsidy to help it stabilise and expand Newham's cultural offer - if you truly were committed to culture as part of your Borough of Culture 2025 bid, this is the most important thing you can do for culture in Newham.

Bring your flags, placards and banners! Get ready to make some noise! Let's make sure the Mayor hears us from inside the Council Chamber!
