Pay Cathedral Schools Trust support staff the back pay they're owed

Hotwells Primary School picket line. Support staff and children hold placards and UNISON flags.
We are the support staff of Cathedral Schools Trust.

Teaching assistants, administrators, librarians, finance officers, caretakers, caterers and more. We are the backbone of our schools, keeping them running and supporting every child’s learning and wellbeing.

But for sixteen years, Cathedral Schools Trust has delayed our pay award by five months, leaving us hundreds of pounds worse off than school staff across the country. For many of us, that is thousands lost.

The Trust’s leadership has now agreed to pay on time in future and adopt NJC pay and condtions. But that does not fix years of unfair treatment or pay we have already lost, while seven executives share more than £1m in salaries.

We call on Cathedral Schools Trust to pay back the wages we have lost over the past five years.

Support staff are vital to children’s education. Our working conditions are their learning conditions.

Stand with us. Write to Neil Blundell, the Trust CEO, and demand Cathedral Schools Trust treat staff fairly.

Why is this important?

We're now on strike, this has an impact on the whole school community. The Trust has the power to resolve this, your support could bring them back to the table with an offer to end this dispute.
