Balfour Beatty to make work safe for employees

Unite the Union members are calling for a review working conditions for planned and reactive workers at Balfour Beatty to ensure that social distancing and good hygiene practices are adhered to at all times.

Workers should be provided with cleaning products to be able to maintain good hygiene and clean tools and work areas properly. if these can not be provided then we demand that staff be sent home on full pay until these can be made available.

Why is this important?

Workers are more important than the non essential work that they are being asked to carry out. A persons life is more important than a pothole.
