Bring back a Rivelin Valley bus service
We ask the South Yorkshire Mayor to fund a new bus service between Rivelin Valley and Hillsborough Interchange to alleviate congestion and pollution along Rivelin Valley Road.
Why is this important?
Rivelin Valley in Sheffield is one of the most beautiful parts of the Sheffield countryside and is very popular with tourists and locals alike, from walkers to children and families using the playground and paddling pools.
It is unfortunately the only green space in Sheffield not served by a bus service, the last service having ended over a decade ago, leading to increased traffic and problems with parking in some places along Rivelin Valley Road.
Having a bus service would create opportunities for more people to visit this beautiful area and encourage use of public transport instead of private cars.
