Keep Strictly Live! Bring back the full Strictly Come Dancing live band

BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing has halved the usual number of musicians playing live on the show

Before 2020, 15 musicians regularly appeared on the show. Now, it's just seven. The rest of the band are pre-recorded and piped in on a backing track

The eight musicians cut from the live show are getting the equivalent of an 80% pay cut as a result

Following extensive negotiations, Strictly has offered to use the full live band for four episodes in the 2024 series. But they're still refusing to bring back a fully live band for all the shows

Bring back the full Strictly Come Dancing live band and keep Strictly live!

Why is this important?

Did you know Strictly is one of the biggest shows on UK television? Over 8 million people tune in each week

Cutting the band is not just a huge loss of earnings to the musicians. It denies audiences the opportunity to see and enjoy fully live music
