Don't Change Our Nurses Rosters

We are asking you not to implement the proposed changes to Acute Service Rosters within the seconday care division and childrens wards and also the Community Hospital Nursing Rosters

Why is this important?

The proposed changes to rosters will have a detrimental effect on the work life balance of employees.

The new rosters will potentially impact on increased childcare costs, travel costs, laundry and food costs.

Reasons for signing

  • Totally no respect and understanding for the job that is already difficult to do. Its the nurses on the ground who work the hardest who always have to suffer. Look somewhere else to save money!
  • difficult to take a break, lack of staff, lack of male to female ratio, add more hours to the week that most people don't want and don't potentially get especially when it's busy and potentially you can't actually leave the work area so it's unpaid unfairly, it's absolutely asking for more issues such as incidents like we've had recently like nurses being overtired and having accidents, now working more hours and not getting paid for it and likely not getting the entitled rest for it either.
  • This had already been implement where I previously worked and I can tell the the work life balance was atrocious. Hardly had appropriate time off to recuperate and felt burnt out.
